Planning the Northern European Atlantic Ocean

The “Planning the Northern European Atlantic Ocean” conference is a unique opportunity for all actors involved in MSP planning or willing to learn more on the implementation of MSP Directives, to discuss its challenges, to meet experts and stakeholders, and exchange knowledge and experiences from the Atlantic and other sea basins areas.  The conference is organised by the SIMNORAT project and will be held in Brest (France), on 29/30 January 2019 and it will allow project partners to present their results and conclusions on the different activities. Coordinated by Shom,  the SIMNORAT project nvolves public authorities in charge of MSP, in the Northern Atlantic Member States and focuses on two key objectives, to support the implementation of the Directive on Maritime Spatial Planning in Member States’ marine waters and to launch and carry out concrete, cross-border MSP cooperation between Member States in the Atlantic region, involving Member States and the relevant authorities responsible for MSP in the area and the CPMR for the level of the Regions.
