Taking Stock of the EU Common Fisheries Policy

This event is the final step of the European Commission‘s consultation process for the report on the functioning of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) following an online-questionnaire and in-depth discussions at regional level.

Registrations are now open for the hybrid stakeholder event that will be taking place on 10 June 2022 in Brussels, Belgium.

Discussion will be organised around two thematic plenary sessions. The first session will cover the social, economic and environmental objectives of the CFP. How can fishers and producer organisations cope with crises and strengthen their resilience… with a focus on climate change, social aspects, markets and clean ocean. The second thematic session will revolve around innovation, resilience and governance in the fisheries world. All of this coupled with the challenges that have been identified throughout the consultation.
