    The 2020 Blue Economy Window – BlueInvest Grants call is open.  Interested stakeholders can submit their applications from 12 November 2020 until 16 February 2021.

  • Atlantic action plan 2.0: A revamped maritime strategy to foster a sustainable blue economy and the EU Green Deal

    On 23 July 2020, the European Commission adopted an updated action plan for a sustainable, resilient and competitive blue economy in the EU Atlantic area, covering France, Ireland, Portugal and Spain.

  • EU Blue Economy Report 2020

    In June 2020 the European Commission published “The EU Blue Economy Report 2020”, providing an overview of the performance of the EU economic sectors related to oceans and the coastal environment. With a turnover of €750 billion in 2018, the EU blue economy is in good health. There were also 5 million people working in the blue economy sector in 2018, representing a significant increase of 11.6% compared to the year before.
