The information session on the Call for expression of interest for new Thematic Smart Specialisation Partnerships (TSSPs) is taking place in the context of the S3 Community of Practice (S3 CoP), the European Commission’s major source of support for implementation of smart specialisation strategies (S3). It offers a unique platform for S3 practitioners, experts, policymakers, and other key stakeholders to participate in a bottom-up and region-centric network. It encourages discussions on S3 policy and implementation and facilitates the exchange of valuable information and best practices.
This session is specifically dedicated to the S3 Thematic Platform for Sustainable Blue Economy and is scheduled with the aim to support regions and their stakeholders looking to establish new sustainable blue economy partnerships specifically under this platform. The meeting will:
· provide a general introduction to the S3 CoP, the S3 Thematic Platforms, the Thematic Smart Specialisation Partnerships (TSSPs), as well as the services and forthcoming activities,
· give an overview of the Call for expression of interest for new partnerships as well as the guidance document,
· feature a dedicated Q&A session to provide specific support for the application process, and
· present the benefits and opportunities of interregional collaboration, including best practices from existing partnerships.
